The Network Didn't Badmouth its Fans, a TV Historian did.

Sigh-fi would've been better than Siffy :-)

But, I did read the article and it seems like the guy who made the statement about dysfunctional, antisocial boys or whatever isn't from the Sci-Fi network himself. He is a TV Historian. He used to work for the Sci-Fi network and launched them back in the 90's. I don't think we should blame the station over what one critic/historian said who doesn't even work for them anymore.

Mr. Howe, the president, never once said anything bad about his audience. He actually said: "When we tested this new name, the thing that we got back from our 18-to-34 techno-savvy crowd, which is quite a lot of our audience, is actually this is how you’d text it." He called the crowd tech savvy and understands it's as huge chunk of his audience without badmouthing them.

Although, I do agree with you regarding the 2nd reason. WTF??!!! I hate people who take credit for others' ideas.
