Geh...
What a day.
I went in and worked 9 hours straight.
I looked online and saw the floor my Dad is staying on is all ICU or Progressive ICU, Dad's room was Progressive ICU. I scared myself good right then.
I'm now dealing with Linker errors instead of compiler ones.
Fuunnn....
I've got a meeting with Bill Werb tommorrow too.
And my pln is to go another 9 hour stretch and only go for 6 friday then hit the ITS picnic. Though I may just pull 8 and a half tomorrow and just put in 39.5 hours for the week.
We'll see.

I didn't get in touch with Mom today until 6.
Apparently Dad isn't confused anymore, and his speech is back to normal.
I guess everything's okay now then....
But I'm still worried.

I called around to the people I promised yesterday that I would call back.
Ashley didn't answer, so I left a cell phone msg.
Patrick I caught during work.
And Matt, I caught via Red's cell.

I can't thank you guys enough for being there for me.
Ashley and Patrick were so sweet. Ashley was offering to go to Huntsville and play support for Mom, and Parick was saying he'd drive whereever if I needed him too.
It was so funny when Matt found out. All he could say was "oh shit..." and "I'm sorry." I laughed to keep from crying. 'Cause all I wanted to do was cry, and I'm too stubborn to do it in front of people if I can help it.
But it made me feel so much better to know you cared.
Thank you.

Same to all of you here on LJ.
Thank you for caring.

I just didn't do too much phone time last night because I was expectimng the call back from Mom.

Qoute from my little brother who arrived back in Huntsville and saw Dad today (AIM convo):
Are you doing okay with the Dad thing?
"Yeah... what is scary is I walked in today and he sounded like his old self, before the strokes."
Wow...
that's good.
right?
"Yeah, just kinda freaky after so long it seemed weird."
yeah...
