elfgroveかんだん = kandan = quiet conversation; idle talk
This is a type of journal entry I'm going to give a try. You've got two people, or at least two personalities conversing about various things. There will be more than just these two characters conversing over this grouping, assuming I can actually manage doing a bunch of these. I think it might make for an interesting way to look at something. Of course, these (first few at least) are conversations I've already had with someone before. For example, this one is between myself and an old mentor of mine (that I still have mind you). This particular one, the first part took place when I was really young, the second part took place quite a few years later. A better name for this type(series) of posts is more than welcome.
*And if you could turn back time?*
"I'd go back and fix everything!"
*Everything? That's a terribly big job...*
"But I'm strong right?"
*You are that.*
"It would make everyone happy... if I fixed everything."
*Would it?*
"Huh?"
*What is 'happy'... really?*
"... I don't know."
*Mmm. Don't you think maybe happy is harder to create than just stopping bad things?*
"Probably. But no one is happy when something bad happens."
*That... might be so.*
"Stopping bad things... It was the wrong answer, right?"
*I don't know about that...*
"Turning back time... It can't really fix anything, can it?"
*Can it?*
"I was just thinking... If something happens in the past and you turn back time to change it... It never happens, so you never go back to fix it, so it still happens, and so you go back."
*Is that so?*
"It's called, Temporal Paradox... I think."
*Interesting concept.*
"I thought it was kind of depressing really."
*Perhaps it is.*
"What would be the point of turning back time? You never told me."
*Did I not?*
"No."
*Hmm... Perhaps it was one of those things I wanted you to find yourself...*
"I guess you could go back... Learn about or understand something..."
*I suppose you could.*
"You can be damned annoying at times... ...I suppose there's a better answer then."
*Is there an answer at all?*
"Never know with you... But... I'll keep looking for it."
