What the hell? Why do bookstores do that!? Keep that crap away from my Fantasy/Sci-fi!

At my store it just goes Romance then Fantasy/Sci-fi. Erotica is in a seperate section.
Why do we do it that way? Other than that's how the company tells us to, I think it is because that is the order they sell in: Fiction, Romance, Fantasy/Sci-fi.
