elfgrove: (Am I Waking Up [lone_kitty_kat])
Mood: exanimate

Activities today... Went to class, must study for stats test on Friday. So far I have two 100s in there. Sense my deep-seeded fear.

Went to Lunch, then wandered over to Biggins Hall (the art building) with Matthew to check out the sidewalk chalk thingie (everyone else had work or class). Ended up participating. Ashley, Michelle and Silas did too. None of us won I'm afraid, and I wish I'd had my digi-cam, I actually liked my results.
Anyone out there get pictures of it?
- I did a shoulder-head shot of a bright blue skinned elf with red hair, blue-green vines in the background and this awesome firebird thing. I really liked the bird. The rest was good for chalk.
- Matthew started a Constantine, but couldn't stand the bright colors and gave him a mullet, pink tie, and wrote radical across the bottom of the unfinished pic.
- Silas sketched a side profile of Optimus Prime, and Matthew colored most of it in, but ran out of red.
Sheesh Keanu, If I ever hear you say your stuff's bad, I'll bap you.
- Ashley did this cool sketchy-looking Harry Potter portrait, with a snitch in the background. It looked so neat. HP's angsty expression was the cool.
- Michelle did this neat one of a pagoda from a magazine pic. I cannot draw buildings to save my life. Go 'Chelle. The bridge really looked 3D.
There were some amazing people out there, lots of art students.

After that, Ashley, 'Chelle and I went to Hastings so Ashley could look for pop-culture 3d trinkets. Ran into Melissa and Andy. Ashley needed to talk to Mel to get her leather outfit back for Confrontations. I stayed out of sight. I can't imagine she wants to see me, and I'm not sure I can not refrain from hurting her. I'm a violent bastard, and I hold grudges, what can I say? I'm not a very good person I guess. Beside, she was going on about how happy she was. I'm certain the last thing she wanted to see was me stepping around the corner of that bookshelf. I saw her first, and pointed her out to Ashley. She never saw me until I was following Ashley away from that section, and I'm not sure she even saw me then.

Ashley and I then went to see a 7:30 movie. I used my refund pass from Hellboy.
Ella Enchanted. Suprisingly enough, I advise it. Ashley and I went for the cutesy chick flick, which it very much is. But the humor was great. Traditional, but they took some fun with everything, be sure to read the various background signs, and catch all the references. Note things like wooden escalators. Of course I can't remember most of them now, but it was fun. I loved the running gag about the Grimm Brothers. And the group of elves dressed like Las Vegas's idea of leprecauns singing "Jermiah Was A Bullfrog", that was priceless, for several reasons (Oh god, the clip of Keanu-Robin just popped in my head again *snicker*). And hell-- ninjas!

After the movie, Ashley got an interesting phone call. That's all I can say. Her Mom's funny.

It'd be nice if there was some guy I was interested in that was actually interested back. But I'm shy as hell, and my life is helluva complicated in my head, and no one should have to deal with me like that. Mrr. Chalk it up to everyone is lonely once in a while, even the stone-cold violent bitches such as myself. Come on, I know I come off as a violent bitch to the average viewer, even if some of you know better. If I don't come of as violent, I come off as stubborn (which I am) and like I can handle everything just fine. And I do (most days). Mrr. Hell, just ignore this last paragraph, there's nothing to do for it, I just whine sometimes. I'm always okay.

Edit: Downside to the chalk thing. I sat outside in the sun during the afternoon drawing this. My right arm is bad sunburned. The right half of my face is lightly sunburned, the rest of me is still pale. I look like I briefly knocked into the side of a fire elemental. Superb. -_-;;
