Am I the only one... who thinks that a raise in cost is understandable, but that 50% is outside reason? Did anyone really believe that even with such a tax, that we would really get that much money? You've gotta be kidding. They made no real promises about where that money was going. And, 50% more from every single student? How much would that be? Is that realistic at all? It seems I see everyone with a government funded job screaming about how the tax plan failing spells the Apocolypse for them. I'm not a genius with my understanding of politics and economy. And yeah, that tax plan would've brought a lot of money, but how many other people would the increased taxes have destroyed financially? Is it just a matter of you die or I die? People will chose to save themselves, it's natural. And is the system so completely doomed because it's only the same amount of money as we've had previously? It seems to me... that if everything is ruined without that money, someone in charge of the money at current had screwed up pretty bad. Saying all of sudden, I can't do it without this tons more money, even though it was managed a year ago. Even though that extra money wasn't expected to be there a year ago, suddenly it's impossible to go on without it? I know costs rise, but this does not seem right to me. Perhaps I am a fool...
Regardless... The vote is over. It lost. Think of a new and reasonable way to manage. Pointing fingers solves nothing. Yelling at us for not voting one way, don't we have the right to have voted the way we did? Does yelling at us solve anything?
And no. I did not vote Tuesday.
I suppose this foolish child will stop ranting now.

I'm feeling kinda persecuted here. Yeah, I didn't vote, but I was against.
I don't mind those affected complaining, that's thier right, but the anime club ML isn't the right forum to vent about it.
Aaron vented in his LJ, amnd that's cool, it's his space, but I don't want to be yelled at like I'm a f'ing child in a place where it shouldn't come up.
Am I wrong to be upset about Beau and Chris taking it as a chance to insult anyone who's against it?

I voted for my parents, that's really it. I'm sure there are people in the state that it would cause considerable problems for. *shrugs* Like I said in my journal, it's a give and take issue. Always will be.
But, the truth is, none of that should be posted there. I don't blame you for being irritated about that, because it's inappropriate in that situation. It's also irrational to belittle anyone simply because they voted how they felt they should. I wouldn't have voted at all if my parents hadn't expressed the concern to me towards their own budget. *shrugs*
I say you just ignore it, that'd be my personal recomendation. No point in letting it bother you, especially considering you didn't even vote on it. You know?
