I've entered an online art contest to win Sting, the
sword from the Lord Of The Rings, and the way they
chose the winner is by the public casting votes. So
I need everyone's help. Please go vote for my entry,
and get as many of your friends as you can to do so as
well. Please?

My entry is #8, "Sting in Elven Hands" - by Rebecca Shropshire.

********************************************************
Voting is at:
http://www.triadbusinessonline.com/lotr/entries.shtml
Vote for "Sting in Elven Hands" in the poll on the
left side of the page.

********************************************************

Each IP address is limited to one vote,
and the progress of the vote will be
displayed over the next 10 days until the
voting concludes on the 19th of December.

Wish me luck,
and Thank You.
~Becky "Lycorne" Shropshire

I voted for yours, it's the only one there that seems inspired at all.

I wouldn't mind winning the bad guy sword myself - I like my weapons large.  Of course I've never seen a contest of that caliber open to Canadians.  Up here we're lucky if we manage to win moose chips.

sigh.

^_^ Yeah, hope I win.
You should try for the next one, It should be open to you, the only big thing is you have to pay for shipping and taxes if you win

That's no problem...

... Seeing as I've got a couple hundred dollars to work with and then some.

The crappy thing is my artwork has been hit-or-miss for years now, and it's usually "miss". -_-

Well, not all the contests will be art, they were talking about scavenger hunts and writing contests too.

Why don't you respond to my emails? I keep asking you to do more comics based on that one bible-thumper guy getting thrown out a window.

Well I haven't been replying either because I get busy and forget, or there's not really anything to say in reply.

As for the Bible Thumper, there will be more comics with him later, but not involving him flying out windows. That comic is based on real events, just adding my twisted humor in.

Judging from the e-mail, he was asking for votes to a degree that was harassment to others... I dunno. I've posted about it here and at my online comic, as well as e-mailed my friends asking for votes. That's not spamming, right?

Here's the e-mail from the contest people.

Hello to all of the entrants in the Blades by Brown Cutlery "Win a Sting Art Contest."

Again, I'd like to thank each and every one of you who submitted an entry into our current
contest.

Overall, the contest is going well.

However, I must stress that reputable sites are obligated to make every attempt to insure that such contests are held in the most fair manner possible. Therefore, any attempts to unfairly tilt the contest in the favor of one entrant or another cannot be taken lightly. Unfair contest manipulation, such as spamming email or message boards, can result in the disqualification of contest entries. This is necessary to insure that the voting is objective and fair to all who submit an entry.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
