Doing some of these without favoring a ship was TRICKY. I tried to do more friendship-oriented where I could.

01. Angst
For all that the world celebrated the victory she and her friends had brought against Fire Lord Ozai and no matter how revered she became as the first metal bender, she could never go back home. The Bei Fong family no longer acknowledged any Toph.

02. AU
Toph was exasperated. "What now?"
"At least put a shirt on!" Aang's entire head was an amusing shade of red as she hid her eyes behind her hands.
"You think an enemy is going to care about your sense of modesty?" He rolled bare shoulders as he shifted his weight. "Horse stance now, Twinkletoes!"

03. Crack!fic Plot
"I can't believe it. This is what we snuck back into your parent's house for?! All that subterfuge for--"
"Shut up!" Toph hugged the stuffed bear-pig tighter against her chest, she couldn't really sleep without it. "Don't you dare tell anyone."

04. Crossover
She couldn't hide her amazement, "So you're literally made of stone?"
"Partially. I'm a chimera, so I'm 1/3rd rock gol--"
"You have got to be the coolest Earthbender ever!" She grinned mischievously, "We should spar."
Yes, I don't know either.

05. First Time
His impact with the ground sent a shudder through the earth, and she paused holding in a breath, waiting for the moment he would surely move again. The seconds ticked by as he laid still silence filling the air until crowd errupted into cheers. The sound hurt her sensitive ears, but she could barely hold back tears of joy. They were cheering her. Not out of pity or because of her family name, just because of Toph -- The Blind Bandit.

06. Fluff
She leaned against the soft fur of the giant Badgermole she had befriended, and he turned to lick her cheek before settling back down for their nap.

07. Humor
There are only two things that can cut diamonds: other diamonds, and Toph Bei Fong. Yeah sorry, drawing a blank on funny.

08. Hurt/Comfort
His constant apologies were starting to get annoying. "I can feel you though my earthbending, you know. I know you didn't mean to burn me." She wasn't good at this sort of conversation, providing forgiveness or comfort. He didn't say anything, but the way his pulse changed at that hope of being forgiven made her feel a little bad for getting irritated with him at all.

10. UST
Toph froze in place as she felt his heart racing at a beat to match her own, but he carefully disentangled himself from her, hot breath tickling her ear as he spoke, "I didn't mean to, umm-- I--" He was lying.
